Currently the OmniPod Insulin Management System is not normally funded by NHS Scotland but is available in some areas in England.
We do get contacted by people hoping to get the OmniPod in Scotland and we hope it will become available in the future. However, if you are interested in the OmniPod and have not received a positive response from your clinic we would urge you to contact your MSP and all elected members of parliament, as Scotland is pro-person centred care and choice.
The OmniPod is a tubeless pump which has some unique advantages over all other pumps currently available in Scotland. There are several reasons this pump may be more suitable for you and we therefore believe it should be available for those who would find it suited them best.
