Now available the new LibreLink app developed by Abbott and Airstrip for smartphones running Android OS 4.0 or higher. The app has similar features to the FreeStyle Libre reader.
*** Please note: The sensor will only communicate with the device that started it, so if you want to use your phone for scanning you must start your sensor with your phone with the LibreLink app installed, you can not use both phone and reader simultaneously. Reviews so far are missed but this seems to be one of the biggest issues so far.

I have only had a limited trial of the FreeStyle Libre and I have not tried the LibreLink app.

Since writing the post, I have had many people contact me about unofficial apps for the FreeStyle Libre – Glimp which can be used with Nightscout and Liapp. They may be worth exploring too.
