If you are interested in self funding the Dexcom G4 Platinum CGM to use in conjunction with your Animas Vibe insulin pump you are required to contact your diabetes team as permission is needed from your consultant, this should only be a formality.
It is also worth enquiring if a one sensor free trial is available, check this with your clinic or the local Animas Representative.
The Transmitter has limited warranty of 6 months (It is likely, but not guaranteed, to last longer)
The Dexcom G4® PLATINUM Sensor is approved for up to 7 days (Unofficially it is likely last longer)
The Dexcom G4® PLATINUM system is approved for adults and children 2 years and older. 2 calibrations are required per day.
